Kleine Löschmeister (Little Firemen) is a work-for-hire project for the largest German public insurance company in close cooperation with the regional fire brigade. It's a mobile game for children (elementary school), portraying the work of the fire brigade with the purpose of teaching kids important fire security rules while keeping it fun and entertaining. The game received very positive reviews as well as several nominations and awards.
As an art director I oversaw the development of an appealing art style not only for kids but also their parents so the game could stand out from comparable apps in the stores. I was also responsible for the project planning and task management when it came to the art department, as well as visual quality control.
I created 2D sprites for the mini games as well as big parts of the user interface and environment animations within Unity.
I had the creative supervision over the successful pitch of the game to the client including a detailed game design document and an illustrated general design document.
